Triathlon Club Team Competition — How Scoring Works

We’re keeping it simple and fair this year with a cross-country style format:

    • Who counts: Any athlete from your club in any individual race (Tri, Duathlon, Aquabike, Aquathlon).

    • Scorers: Your club’s Top 5 finishers by overall place (The higher your place, the lower your score)

    • Team Score: Add those five places together. Lowest total wins.

    • Eligibility: A club needs at least 5 official finishers to post a team score. (DNF/DQ do not score.)

    Tie-breakers (in order):

    1. 6th finisher place (lower wins)

    2. Best single place from the club (lowest wins)

    3. Fastest single finish time from the club

    4. Coin flip (only if still tied)

    Example: If a club’s first five finishers place 2, 7, 10, 15, and 18, the team score is 52. Another club with 3, 5, 11, 16, and 19 totals 54—52 beats 54.

We’ll post club standings after results are finalized. Race hard, cheer loud, and have fun—every finisher can help their team!

All State Championship Winners will have the opportunity to purchase a jersey
