Pre-Race Check in Policies:

  1. All athletes must attend ONE pre-race check-in to pick up their race materials (FRI or SAT). Athletes who do not or can't attend FRI OR SAT (and have not selected the VIP Option - more info below) will be required to pay a $10 late fee on race morning in order to pick up packet materials.

  2. It is mandatory for all athletes to bring their ID to the pre-race check in. We will not give any athlete their bib number without an ID.

  3. Parents of children competing in the event will be permitted to pick up their child's packet with their own ID and the child's USAT card.

  4.  You must sign waiver and present a physical copy to get race materials.

    Download Waiver Here

  5. You will also be required to show proof of USAT annual membership or purchase a one day membership (if you haven't already purchased a one day with us through registration).

  6. Friends and family members will NOT be allowed to pick up for an athlete. Sorry NO EXCEPTIONS.  These events are USAT sanctioned and USAT doesn't allow anyone besides the participant to pick up race materials.

  7. Please note: Beginning in 2019 ALL first time youth triathletes with a racing age of 7-10 will be required to complete a Swim Certification in order to compete in the event.  You may download the form here

  8. Note for Aquabike: After your bike, you will dismount just before the dismount sign. When you cross the “Bike in” timing mat, this ends your race. Rack your bike then come to the finish line to get your medal, post race food and enjoy the beer garden if your over 21.

Routes Changes: The race course and timeline can be changed at the discretion of the race organization. All distances are approximate by GPS measurements. The race can be altered, postponed or cancelled for any reason with no refunds including, but not limited to, weather, natural disturbances, police activity, permit issues, acts of terrorism and/or threats of terrorism.

E-Bikes: E-Bikes may NOT be used at any time during this race. Use of an E-Bike, will result in a disqualification from the event.

Refund Policy: Due to the number of race transfer requests and cancellations that occur in the weeks prior to a race we have the following policy that is in accordance with USAT Policy.  Refunds will NOT be issued after a registration has taken place. Considerable effort goes into producing an event and funds are expended and applied in good faith based on a registration.  If you would like to change your registration from one distance to another, you will be charged for the difference in price at the time of the change

Please note: We love what we do and what we do is put on events. After months and months of planning, coordinating and making our very best effort to create a race experience that we consider the best in California the last thing we ever want to do is postpone or cancel a race. We also understand that athletes devote a significant amount of their time, money and effort preparing for a race. So, if we need to make the difficult decision to postpone or cancel a race it’s a great disappointment for us and we know it’s a great disappointment to you. Unfortunately, though, that is the risk we share. You may feel you are entitled to a full refund if we postpone or cancel a race, but this is not feasible given the costs incurred in the months leading up to race day.
